Una lussuosissima magione, chiamata Atalanta, nella valle dell’Hudson nello stato di New York. Costruita nel 1851 occupa 289 acri e fu il buen retiro del presidente USA Roosevelt e della moglie. Pare che attualmente costi 22 milioni di dollari

This house, located in the Hudson Valley near Red Hook, New York, has gone up for sale at $22 million. It was built in the 19th century for the Roosevelt and Astor Families

Inside the property, which is known as Atalanta, a grand staircase (pictured) opens onto an arts and crafts ceiling with a skylight. The property's ceilings are more than nine feet high

On the lower level, a glass-enclosed wine cellar and tasting room can hold as many as 5,000 bottles. A small sample of that collection is pictured above in the manor

Two more wings were added in the late 19th century to the 16,000-square-foot house. The estate now has seven bedrooms, a Greek temple-inspired pool house (pictured) and a tennis court

Outside the mansion, the property includes an eight-stall barn for horses (pictured) complete with an office, a full bathroom, a feed room and an outdoor dressage ring

Franklin Hughes Delano and his wife, Laura Astor Delano had the house built in 1851 on land they had received as a wedding gift. The home was expanded in the late 19th century (pictured is the barn)
