1. 44 years. I was 5 when I began going to City.

2. I know Atalanta are a friendly Club with passionate supporters, who punch above their financial weight. You have a great Academy. I have seen a home game on the Curva Nord and witnessed the thrashing of Everton in the Europa Cup. . This is a great era for Atalanta but I know you won the Coppa Italia many years ago. Happy Birthday on your Anniversary, 112 years I think.

3. Papu Gomez is my favourite Atalanta player. His skills and dribbling remind of City greats like Georgie Kinkladze and Ali Bernabia.

4. Manchester is a friendly place and most people are kind but we sometimes come across as being a bit aggressive. Manchester is booming but we have some problems with homelessness and drugs in the Piccadilly Gardens area. We are friendlier than the people from just outside Manchester who call themselves United.

5. There are lots of bars and restaurants in the Printworks complex and the Northern Quarter. Away fans usually congregate in Sinclairs near Victoria Station and the Cathedral. There are lots of museums and some art galleries. The National Football Museum is very close to Sinclairs.

6. I think City will win 2-1 in Manchester with Atalanta winning the game in Milan.

7. Trevor Francis was the greatest player who scored spectacular goals. We sold him far too early to pay for a new stand at, Maine Road (our old ground). I liked Rolando but he missed some easy chances for City, like he did for Atalanta.

1. Da 44 anni, ne avevo 5 quando ho cominciato a seguir la squadra.

2. Conosco l’Atalanta come una squadra popolare, con tifosi passionali, un club che si spinge oltre le sue possibilita’ economiche e che ha una grande scuola calcio. Ho visto una partita in Curva Nord e ho assistito al trionfo contro l’Everton nell’Europa League. E’ una grande era per l’Atalanta ma so che molti anni fa avete vinto la coppa italia. Buon compleanno per i 112 anni, mi pare.

3. Papu Gomez è il mio giocatore favorito. La sua tecnica e la capacita’ nel dribblare mi ricordano alcuni nostri grandi del recente passato come Georgie Kinkladze and Ali Bernabia

4. Manchester e’ una citta’ amichevole cosi’ come la sua gente anche se talvolta veniamo visti come un po’ aggressivi. La citta’ si sta notevolmente espandendo e abbiamo qualche problema tra senzatetto e drogati nella zona di Piccadilly Gardens. Siamo piu’ socievoli della gente appena fuori Manchester che tendono a farsi chiamare United…

5. Ci sono molti bar e ristoranti nel complesso Printworks e nel Northern Quarter. I tifosi che vengono da fuori di solito si aggregano in Sinclairs vicino a Victoria Station e alla Cattedrale. Ci sono molti musei e qualche galleria d’arte. Il National Football Museum è molto vicino a Sinclairs.

6. Penso che il City vincera’ 2-1 mentre l’Atalanta vincera’ nel ritorno a Milano

7 Trevor Francis il piu’ grande tra loro, ha segnato gol spettacolari. Lo vendemmo decisamente troppo presto e solo per pagarci una tribuna al Maine Road, il nostro vecchio stadio. Mi è piaciuto anche Rolando ma tendeva a sbagliare spesso facili occasioni, da noi come all’Atalanta

HARRY

1. Just before the draw in the champions league, I said if there were a team to avoid in pot 4, it’d be Atalanta. I admire the positive way Gasperini plays football and is somewhat similar to how we play under Guardiola. I was surprised that you had lost the first two group games and was originally thinking we’d be going into this double header in a battle for top spot

2. I still love watching Alejandro Gomez play. At 31 years old he still dictates play so well and he’s started this season again superbly. The way City recruit means I doubt we’d look to sign a player like him as we tend to only sign younger players who can develop

3. With all the injection of money in the football club since 2008 I think people are quick to forget what the city of Manchester really is. It really is a big family community and if you were to go to particularly an away game, you’d see that. Of course with all the success you’re bound to get new fans and that’s only a positive for the football club, but the core Manchester City fan base is still there every week; win, lose or draw.

4. Nightlife in Manchester can be amongst the best in the country. There’s such a range of things to and places to visit. Northern Quarter in the town centre is probably my favourite, but others would say deansgate locks or the prinkworks are better. It definitely will not disappoint if you’re planning to go out after the game.

5. City are approaching quite a tough range of fixtures and will look to rotate there squad continuously, and I think this game could be one of them. It goes without saying though that what we have in reserve is enough to win any game and if we win tomorrow, we’re virtually through with 3 games to spare. It all depends on how early City can get a breakthrough to what score it could be, but I’ll go 3-1 City.

6. Both Trevor Francis and Ousamme Dabo came into the club and really failed to make any mark. Francis caused lots of financial trouble for City due to his high wages so his time at City, alongside injuries, meant he had to leave after only one season. Out of the three, Bianchi was definitely my favourite, mainly because he was the player on the back of my shirt, but he could’ve been a good goalscorer for us. Unfortunately again he really didn’t hit the heights he could’ve at the club, much like most players at that time.

1. Appena prima del sorteggio dissi che se c’era una squadra da evitare nell’ampolla 4 quella era l’Atalanta. Ammiro il gioco offensivo di Gasperini che assomiglia un po’ a quello di Guardiola. Mi hanno sorpreso le due sconfitte precedenti con Dinamo e Shakthar ed ero convinto che il nostro doppio confronto avrebbe deciso la capoclassifica.

2. Mi piace veder giocare Gomez. A 31 anni è ancora capace di fare quello che fa in campo e anche quest’anno ha iniziato in modo superbo. Sfortunatamente sara’ dura vederlo nel City, la nostra politica e’ quella di seguire giovani talenti da sviluppare

3. Con l’avvento degli arabi nella squadra dal 2008 penso che la gente si stia dimenticando alla svelta della vecchia comunita’ cittadina. Una vecchia comunita’ familiare che potresti riscontrare specialmente quando i tifosi del City vanno in trasferta. Naturalmente con tutto i successi accaduti poi la quantita’ di tifosi si e’ notevolmente ingrandita e quello e’ solo un bene ma la vecchia guardia sugli spalti e’ rimasta quella e c’e’ sempre, qualsiasi sia il risultato sul campo

4. La vita notturna a Manchester è tra le migliori in Inghilterra. C’e’ tanto da fare e visitare. Il Northern Quarter nel centro citta’ e’ probabilmente il mio favorito ma possono andare bene anche il Deansgate locks e il Prinkworks. Non mi meraviglierei di vedervi atalantini anche dopo la partita

5. Per noi sono molte le partite ravvicinate importanti in questo periodo, ci sara’ diverso turn over e penso che non manchera’ anche in questa partita. Non c’e’ bisogno da dire che anche le nostre riserve sono assolutamente all’altezza di ogni partita e se vinciamo domani possiamo viver di rendita per le prossime 3 partite. Tutto dipenderà da quanto ci potremmo mettere a sfondare la difesa atalantina. Comunque ritengo che finira’ 3-1

6. Sia Trevor Francis che Ousamme Dabo non ci hanno lasciato ricordi particolari. Francis poi ha causato quasi il dissesto nelle nostre casse per il suo ingaggio che, unito al fatto che si infortuno’ piu’ di una volta, fece si’ che fu da noi solo un anno. Il mio favorito e’ Bianchi anche perche’ avevo la sua maglietta. Sarebbe potuto essere un buon attaccante per noi ma poi non confermo’ appieno tutte le attese.
